Termessos Ancient City Tour

Description
Termessos, which is said to have never been conquered even by Alexander the Great, is one of Antalya's most impressive ancient cities. Located at an altitude of 1,050 meters within Güllük Mountain National Park, this ancient city captivates its visitors with its unique location and magnificent scenery. To reach the ancient city, we'll take a 30-minute walk through the forest. Along the way, we'll share information about the history of the Pisidia region. When you arrive at the city, a 4,200-seat theater will greet you. Looking out from the upper rows of the theater, you'll see a magnificent panorama of the Gulf of Antalya and the mountains. Beyond the theater, we'll tour the agora, temples, colonnaded streets, water cisterns, and the necropolis (cemetery) area. In the necropolis, there are impressive sarcophagi and rock tombs. Throughout the tour, our professional guide will explain how Termessos maintained its military power and independence.
